Pepper Bridge Winery – Washington State

Pepper Bridge is a very nice winery. They started making wine in 1998 which for Washington is old but for the world is quite young. They make very high end wines which are very enjoyable.

2007 Merlot – nice baking spice, hint of cinnamon, cocoa, mixed with black fruit. Nice structure with touch of elegance. Nice Merlot. However, at 50 it is a bit much for a Washington Merlot. (B)

2007 – Cabernet – plum, floral, dark cherry, with plush soft tannins but with deep dark fruit and a touch of white pepper on the finish. Very nice young wine which will age well. For 55 it is nice but a bit pricey. (A-)

2006 Cabernet – dark chocolate, spice, blackberry, followed by lush texture which tapers nicely this is a nice cabernet. (B+)
